Privacy Policy for AddyKeep Last updated: October 3, 2026
Introduction Welcome to AddyKeep. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use our mobile application (“the App”). AddyKeep is designed as a secure, local, and keyless directory for Web3 public addresses.
Data Collection and Storage
AddyKeep is local-first. We do not operate servers that receive your directory data.
No Private Keys: We do not request, collect, or store private keys, seed phrases, or passwords.
Local Storage: The public wallet addresses, names, notes and tags you enter are stored only on your device. We do not have access to them and they are not transmitted to us.
No Cloud Backup: AddyKeep excludes all of its data from Android cloud backup, so your directory is not uploaded to your Google account backup. If you set up a new phone with Android’s direct device-to-device transfer, app data may move with it; that transfer does not go through our servers.
Manual Encrypted Backup: You can export an encrypted backup file (.abook) protected with a password you choose and save it wherever you want. We never receive this file. If you lose the password, the file cannot be recovered.
Camera (optional): If you tap the QR scan button, the App asks for camera permission to read a wallet address from a QR code. Images are processed on your device and are not stored or sent to us.
Biometric Lock (optional): Fingerprint or face verification is handled by Android. The App never receives your biometric data.
Block Explorer Links (optional): If you choose “View in Explorer”, your browser opens the explorer’s website with that public address. That site has its own privacy policy.
While AddyKeep does not collect personal data on our servers, the App uses the following third-party services, which may process limited technical or purchase data:
Google Play Services & Google Play Billing: Used to process in-app purchases for the Premium version. Link to Google Privacy Policy
RevenueCat: Used to manage and validate Premium entitlements. It uses an anonymous app user ID and purchase history; it does not receive your wallet directory. Link to RevenueCat Privacy Policy
Firebase Crashlytics: Used to collect crash reports (device model, Android version, app state at the time of the crash and an installation identifier) to improve stability. Link to Firebase Privacy Policy
Google ML Kit (QR scanning): Reads QR codes on your device. According to Google, ML Kit may collect technical diagnostics and usage data, such as device information, the App’s package name and version, per-installation identifiers that do not identify you or your device, performance metrics and error codes. It does not receive the content of the codes you scan. Link to ML Kit data disclosure
AddyKeep does not use advertising SDKs and does not use the Android Advertising ID. We do not run our own usage analytics.
Because AddyKeep stores your directory data exclusively on your local device, you have complete control over it. You can delete all your stored data at any time by:
Clearing the App’s data in your Android device settings.
Uninstalling the App from your device.
Data held by third-party services (crash reports, purchase records) can be deleted on request: email the address in section 6 with the subject “Data deletion request” and we will process it within 30 days, to the extent the provider allows.
Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date at the top.
